Personal Relationship Coaching
Why relationship coaching may be advised
There are many reasons why relationship coaching should be considered before contracting with Personal Connections Matchmaking.
Many people are not in a healthy place in life to establish meaningful relationships. For those who are actively grieving the loss of a prior relationship, for those who are not content with the person they are or have no idea of the kind of person they are looking for, relationship coaching will help them to understand where they are in life and where they want to be.
There are many people in today’s society in financial crisis. Attempting to establish relationships during this period of time could possibly add additional financial stressors that would compound the stress already present from this situation.
For a variety of reasons many people can’t seem to get past the first date. Personal relationship coaching will help to identify the reasons and work with you to overcome them.
Sometimes people form healthy relationships and an obstacle may present itself that they have a hard time overcoming.
These are only a few of the reasons relationship coaching may be advisable. You may be aware of some issues in your own life that would hinder establishing healthy relationships or we may identify them during our initial intake interview. We firmly believe that you need to be in an emotionally healthy place before you can commit to building healthy relationships with others
How does personal relationship coaching work?
After the need for personal coaching has been identified, we will work with you to set up a time to meet and discuss the details of your personalized coaching plan. We understand that coaching is a very individualized encounter and have no preset agenda. When it comes to coaching it is all about individual needs.
There is no requirement for personal coaching to take place, however if we identify an issue that may be problematic to building healthy relationships we may delay you entry into our client database until you have worked through your issues. We are not being judgmental. We want to ensure that all of our client’s relationship needs are met.
You are not limited to our company for personal coaching. We strongly advise once an issue has been identified that you take personal responsibility in identifying ways in which to resolve it in a healthy manner. Feel free to investigate other counseling and coaching alternatives. Our goal is not that you specifically contract with us but that you come to a healthy place where you can establish healthy relationships.
***We do not offer mental health counseling in any way. If your issue involves more than we feel we can overcome in relationship coaching we may advise you to seek outside intervention. This will not necessarily exclude you from our database but it may delay entry until you are in a healthier place.
***The above does not constitute discrimination on the basis of mental health but does protect your rights from entering into a contract with us that we may not be able to fulfill satisfactorily at the present time.
Who will my relationship coach be?
Currently we have only one relationship coach on staff. Penny Collins holds a master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy and has experience working with both individuals and family units.
How much does personal relationship coaching cost?
The fee for personal relationship coaching is $35 per hour and is available only to clients within our database. The exception to this would be potential clients who have identified issues and want to work to resolve them before contracting with Personal Connections Matchmaking. In such cases there is a limit of two sessions without database entry.
